Made some up-grades to my seed starting area’s recently. All the hardware’s in place and the lights are hung over the top shelf. In a couple days i’ll move the Mint and Comfrey which are on the lower shelf, then i can finish hanging the remaining lights at which point; “i’m open for business”!
Each shelf holds 9ea 10/20 trays with 18 #35 pots per tray. Thats 324 little somethings; some of them will remain in starter pots and some move up to 5 1/2 inch’ers and a few into 2/4 gallon bags.
This is where it all “starts” but before long i’ll have things spread into two more areas and by late March/early April everything will be bursting at the seams.
Once the weather allows it all goes to the greenhouse where some will remain and the rest will be planted into beds when were beyond frost, mid May!
These are my first dimmable grow lights and im very pleased with them. 300 watt per light X 4ea should do it! I currently have a pair of them on my indoor cucumbers (growing out in the shop) and they are doing real well.

My second area is a little larger and where the bigger stuff resides. This section got a couple of the new LED’s as well; and about half of the retiring T-5 fixtures can be seen on the floor.
Each of these LED’s give great light saturation over a 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 footprint.
Over here the drivers & dimmers will mount directly on the lights and plug directly into this bad boy! That work will happen early in the week.
Those 2x4’s seen mounted on the wall above the lights support another section of cattle panel (like the shelf below) and in the fall what ever im drying is easily spread out to dry. A fan blows up from the bottom and an exhaust fan sucking from on top will dry a BIG arm load of mint in a hurry!
