    Absolutely perfect spring day yesterday. Took my dad and the kids out to hunt morels and ramps. Found this dogtooth violet (trout lily) blooming and got a pic for Ava's spring wildflower project for 4-H. Most flowers we pick and press, but these are endangered. Looks huge in the pic, but the bloom is only about an inch and a half wide.

    Yes it is an apple blossom. The tree was full of bees and all abuzz.
