You do not see turtles in Idaho. When I was a kid in Oklahoma about 9 I saw a turtle crossing the road. I had my aunt stop the car and went out and got it, right in the middle of the road, so I took her home and there really was not a good place at my house. I had her in the house in a box and my mother's friend had a garden, beautiful yard and I took her there and she would tell me each spring when she saw her.
