Seed to soil, potting or ground, for heading chinese cabbage HAS to be AFTER June 19th.

Those units recognize if the days are getting longer ANYTIME during their life, and that signals for them to make seed.

Even if it is just for a small part of their early life, days getting longer will surely stop them from heading up.

Sometimes when plants are available at nurseries it is because someone decided to sell sell sell instead of help, assist, and oh yea, sell too. (That second way makes more sales, but some don't get it.)

Yes, that red mustard is awesome good! It can be planted real early.
