Question About SuperBowl

My accountant having a Superbowl party. I really have no interest in football. I know I will end up in kitchen with a few wives who also dont want to be there. What teams are playing and what colors are their uniforms ? Any good gossip about any players? How long should this game take?

New England Patriots (white) & Philadelphia Eagles (green).

i haven't really been watching/listening all season other than hearing on the radio after or the next day if the Pats won or lost. you'll be hearing a lot about Tom Brady (quarterback) who recently had a hand injury-the one he throws with, & Rob Gronkowski (tight end) who got knocked around in the last game of the playoffs & ended up with a concussion but got the ok just in time to play.

i'm sure if you talk with some of the others before the game begins & just let them know you really don't understand much about the game they could fill you in. i just recommend not doing it during the game & mostly when there is a commercial or half time. best if you could get the rundown of terms before the game begins.

@Nyboy I have to agree with @Chickie'sMomaInNH about not trying to discuss much during the game. Hardcore football fans usually want to focus straight on the game, so halftime and breaks are good times to chat. I say this as a big college football fan for our home team, and because my husband and brother-in-law will be focused on the Super Bowl so intently I won't interrupt them myself!

I'd invite the gals out for a night on the town instead of hanging around an ol' kitchen. Let the boys serve themselves and go have some fun. Or, if you can snag another TV in the home in another room, maybe you and the football widows could watch a good movie together.

I can't stand football either and I'm so glad my boys don't care for it ...that would drive me batty.
