I gotta try that...Real soon!

There are a lot of other things like this I'll try too. The Coop, an organic food store in Ukiah, sometimes gets unusual things in the fresh vegetable section...

I tried it too!! Who can resist the idea? It grew very well on my counter and I have been hardening it off outside. As soon as I get a chance I will put it in the ground. It has very minimal roots- but it does have some. I have grown celery before and it came out very tough. I think it needs a lot of water... but this is a fun experiment!

Mine died, too. It was looking great then all of a sudden it started getting yellow and brown on the leaves. I touched it and it pulled right out, it was rotten. However, the seedlings that I grew and planted at the same time as the grocery store transplant are still alive.

Growing VERY slowly.
