I wonder when the first stones of that bridge were laid, Cat'.

It is an Ancient bridge but I do not know the date.I need to find that out. It is in front of my house on the Mattapoisett River. There are several bridges built at the same time along the river.
 
well, gee, i sort of feel left out of your snow storm Cat! we didn't get any up here! we'll be getting ours tomorrow though! they're predicting up to a foot on the seacoast and i'm slightly in the northern part of that seacoast in NH.

That bridge reminded me of a bridge over the Charles River in South Natick. I grew up there. The bridge looks like this:
