So, it's October

These are the days with wide temperature swings. It's true anytime here but gets a little more dramatic, especially if freezing is possible.
So, I dress anticipating the 25° difference between morning low and mid-afternoon high, the WS says is normal. Layers and unlayering ...

If it's 35° swing - I hate it when I have to take the denim off and run around in my thermals.

it's going to be a cold wet weekend, looks like a good time to service the chainsaw fix a couple extension cords.. and make wonton soup and a beef stew, just not on the same day...

@Carol Dee, the big root set you sent dried out enough to divide itself into 4 smaller plant roots. I planted each one in a different spot. The smaller rooting stayed as is, but is now under rich, dark soil as we wait for spring to watch the surprises from you surprise me again.

The bulb looks to be a lily of some type. It -- and its small baby -- are planted in a sunny spot ... the rest are in mostly shade. Thank you again, girlfriend!

October is my FAVORITE month. I love the cool nights, the changing leaves, and the clothing layers :) I could do w/out the 80 or even 70 degree days. I feel at my best when it's in the 60s or below. I'm still finding ladybugs and praying mantis out and about... it's a beautiful time of year!
