Stevia sounded great to me so I gave it a try. It is sweet alright but it has the same bitter aftertaste as sacharine. I've never grown it after that first year.

April!
A few months back I used vartiatioins around stevia in google search, and there are some good sites about it. Go ahead and start just by googling stevia. I often google "growing such or so" try googling "growing stevia".
I recall there were 2 ways to use stevia as a sweetner. simply dried and powdered, and then another way that was a tincture of some sort that creates a liquid concentrated form. Going by memory here, but it was on a website i found googling it.

We grew it in Montana when i lived there. in the greenhouse in winter. By spring we always thought they were dead. I read somewhere they can play possum for months and come back. so, we may have thrown out still alive plants.
