Now that you are getting some, you might read the ingredients and see if you can just obtain those in the absence of the actual product. I've done that on a few things with good results. Sort of like making a recipe out of something when you know what ingredients it holds but not how much of each ingredient.

Bee I had a client who is self proclaimed scientist try. Her dog kept getting sprayed by skunk it worked the best. I believe she even got her pharmacist involved. Not sure whats in it but also great to soak infected wound. It had so many uses.

From what I've found, the active ingredient is povidone iodine...y'all tried that already, I'm guessing?

I bathe the horses occasionally with Betadine solution, which is a surgical scrub, and it doesn't stain. It's 10% povidine iodine.
