To Old Fashion

Even rust looks good when it's aged. I wonder how long it would take for them to get at least a little of the aged look in your type of weather? You could rough them up a little with sand paper or look up on the internet on how to age them.

have you thought about offering an exchange of grooming services for the clock?

oh, i've seen a similar looking fountain in my area that has swans/cranes like those. the fountain is painted green like the color on this webpage.

i know that antique 'garden' chairs used to be painted green so they would blend in with the landscapes.

I am open to other colors
There are excellent staining technique - craquelure. This means an "artificial aging". It's very simple to do at home with their own hands. You can choose any color, such as a stone. And on the surface appear stylized fracture. You just have to buy all this (I think it is also sold in the USA) and take the instructions on the Internet. There are a lot of video.
