Today is Endangered Species Day.

A suggestion of a way to celebrate is to find a suitable sidewalk and use your colored chalk to create an image of a favorite endangered species.

An example: I believe that Sage Grouse in North American are now considered "threatened" with a species in Colorado and Utah seen as endangered with extinction. I wasn't aware of this concern until recently.

The Western Gray Squirrel is on the list of endangered species for the PNW. I will draw this squirrel in chalk on the sidewalk after it's done raining!

I wanted to find a Forget Me Not but, it’s too late in the season.

Too late for the perennial poppies — they are kind of a mess. However, our very first annual poppy bloomed just today . Camera decided to focus on the tips of garlic but Flanders Fields is rather out of focus also but for other reasons.
