My heritage tomatoes are getting started. These are the riesentraube variety, but I also have a few candyland mini currant tomato plants coming up from saved seeds. Somehow watching plants grow from seed to blossoms to fruit never gets old!

when i was weeding around some of the tomato plants yesterday it reminds me of how much i love the smell of growing tomato plants. :)

and then too there was also some shade as they have grown up to be taller than the large tomato cages.

a very pleasant microclimate there with the scent and the shade. :) :) :)
