A few days ago my father gave me a lawn jockey statue. He is almost as old as me, most of his paint has worn off. Part of me wants to repaint in classic red and white, part of me wants to do a very funky paint job. When it comes to your garden are you traditional or artistic?

Nyboy, I guess I would have to say traditional. I'm not that creative so I guess I'm not artistic. I do love color and all my garden furniture is painted in bright colors. Such as my chicken coop, in orange and chartreuse (lime color).

Usually when I try to go "funky" with something, it just ends up looking unfortunate. Not funky at all.

For me, the question is not WHAT color but DO I paint? If I did, traditional as I have no color sense.

I would go with a 70's psychedelic paint job! If you don't like it, then paint it traditional. Google Peter Max and psychedelic art for ideas! Play that funky music white boy!
