Or if you have Farm Bureau like I do. Have a claim, here's your deductible and oh, by the way, you lose your no claim discount.....

Yes I would believe the insurance you have to carry. We had a large furniture store and had to have all the available policies known to man. Commercial vehicle, personal vehicle, home and contents, business and contents, business interruption, workman's comp, liability for 3 million and life insurance so if one of us died, we could pay off everything. :barnie Plus all the taxes. 7.65% employment taxes on payroll, due every 15th of the month, along with the withholding that I had to turn in. Inventory and property tax. Punishment for actually doing well in life and providing employment for a dozen people. :he

that was the down side of owning your own profitable business and employing
people so they can support their families

Nyboy, a huge oak tree fell on our old house during a hurricane. It smashed things up quite a bit, but ol' Baymule was prepared! I had baked a pan of brownies before the power went out and had my DH pick up a box of cheap wine before the stores were stripped of everything. So, with branches poking through the sheetrock, rain pouring through the ceilings, I poured a glass of wine, nestled in my recliner with brownies and just didn't care much after that.

Reality can always come later.
