Weather Where You Are

We are past Friday the Thirteenth! Do that okay?

Past the 15th and on our way to first the Equinox and Autumn. Next, October!

Seasonal cooldown is ongoing, here. Morning lows are in the 40's. It's noon and only a little above 50°f. The clouds are huge and the wind is blowing! Rain is in tonight's forecast and on its way across the Columbia right now.

A 40° swing between high and low is possible at this time of year. So, you can see that a frost is a real possibility. I think we are okay in that regard for awhile but all we will need is a clear night.

A run to the gardens for desperate, last minute harvesting is likely and Steve just might feel that "frost mitigation" is possible running sprinklers during hours of morning darkness.

@baymule , you doing okay?

Houston newspaper - heavy rain

It's 48°f this morning.

Visibility is 1 mile at a nearby airport. There wasn't much rain and no thunderstorms over my house yesterday but that was not so for plenty of places, not far away. Foggy!

It is still being unseasonably warm here; low to mid 90s and very dry, but the nights are cooler than they have been. Heat index on my backyard weather station triple digits every day this week. Heat is supposed to break this weekend, then the highs will be under 80...I can't wait!
Pretty much the same here. Although we may finally get some more much needed rain Of course on the weekend!
