Ouch!
Okay, I'm a dog lover without a dog for many years now ... let me just say a few things. Probably, they won't be accurate.
DD's Garbanzo is a terrier poodle, a terripoo. The next door neighbor has a Labrador poodle, a labradoodle. My barber has a cockapoo.
Poo this and poo that -- I thought these were just ridiculous when they first showed up! I had no interest in poodles 50 years ago. Then, a good friend bought 2 standards to use as retrievers ... duck hunting is and has long been a great passion for him. He even has a flock of ducks for backyard egg production. He was happy with his poodle dogs

.
The labradoodle next door is a
big dog. She must be bigger than either of her parents. She showed up as an adult. When she first saw me it was
woof woof woof woof woof. Next time it was
woof woof. Then she wanted to sniff my gloves. Now, she jumps up on the fence every time we meet so I can scratch her neck

.
My barber's Amy is the friendliest dog I have ever met. She will surreptitiously climb onto the foot stool under my legs so she can lick my knee and digitS'.
Garbanzo's terrier independence and feistiness seems to be tempered by the poodle. She is very loyal and willing to please. Terriers are smart but I've gotten the idea that poodles are smart, too.
Retrievers ... imagine a dog that
finally has that bird. She's got it!! Now, imagine that she voluntarily gives it up. Lays it down for her human to pick up ... Golden, Lab, or whatever, that's a pretty good test of personality.
