peas will get cooked and eaten this evening, i also have some green onions, but i'll ask Mom to see if she wants them along with the pea pods or in a different bowl before i cook them. she may want them for a chow mien or for pasta salad.

Potatoes and Carrots –– we are having beef stew for dinner :).

The carrots are skinny, needed thinning. The Red LaSoda potatoes have done just fine! They have always done well for us. I looked back at a TEG post from about 10 years ago where I noted their popularity in the US, from one side to the other. I was curious then if they are the red potatoes I can buy at the soopermarket. Shucks. Well, it's okay. I strongly suspect that the potatoes we can buy right now are from 2024 and new potatoes are noticeably different from those that have been in storage, no matter what the sophistication of the process.

Buying special potato varieties is expensive and shipping costs plays a role. I was thinking about something that I could get from Irish Eyes Company in 2026. Can't remember what it was right now but it would give me an added excuse to purchase some seed potatoes next year that were nice to have when we have done that and different from what is available at the local garden centers 🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔.
