I think I did check out Stark Bros and all the trees I was looking at said that they can't ship to California. I will check out the other one though.um, someone must be growing them, you just have to find an outlet that you can get to:

for high wind areas you may need a windbreak of some kind if you plan on growing fruits on trees, simply because if you have a loaded down tree of fruit it cannot withstand direct high winds without damage.
there are various ways of planting companion wind breaks or growing shorter trees and having a fence of some kind...
