You lucky!

I did get my peas planted today. Up here I'm still getting some 39 degree nights.

80* yesterday, will be 37* tonight. I have my seedlings out in the redneck greenhouse, hardening them off, but think I'll bring them in tonight. I have opened the gate on the 16'x7' garden patch in the backyard and let the chickens have at it. It had a lovely crop of short rye grass that they loved and they stripped the broccoli. I need to just lock them all up in it for a couple of days to finish it up.

I still have to get the rabbit barricade back up. so things are waiting in the greenhouse, but I do wheel them out for fresh air and sunshine each day. Little field trips before the big one.

Oooh! What a way to start the year of outdoor activities.

On that carpenter ant thread, I mentioned moving 9 concrete blocks to support the legs of the new greenhouse bench, olde legs, new bench. Olde back, too.

I feel a little broken today and I only finished the first 9' section of the 2 by 4 bench. DW & I carried it in. I can't believe I carried the olde one in there in one long 18' section! That must have been in 1997 with the first expansion of the greenhouse.

Maybe the thing will be lighter, when I have to carry it out so as to plant some bok choy in there for the winter! I know I don't want to move those blocks again! Getting them back and level was just too much work.

I should finish the other bench section today. I have a plan for it to be moved in before the 10th board is attached. Yeah, that'll make it 10% lighter. It'll be a breeze!

Yeah, cold and windy here too. I got the crepe myrtles pruned yesterday... and am thinking that I'm going to try and make a littel fence from the branches to keep the dogs from peeing on the rose of sharrons.

Yea, ole or olde, antique, or multiple orbits around that big bright round thing in the sky, the backbones do start to feeling it!
