I have tulips blooming, and just to the south is my Magnolia Jane with loads of flowers.
I have about a dozen peach blossoms on my little 3yo Peach tree, but it will need a frost/freeze cover Monday and Tuesday night.
UNfortunately the chickweed looks like IT wants to flower, too.
the small creeping thyme is really putting on a show right now. i'll have to get out and get some before and after pictures as it is being blocked by weeds and daffodils. it still looks very nice considering i've hardly weeded any of it since last fall. it will need a lot of work to get back in shape, but that is the problem of having only one person able to do a lot of the weeding and having a lot of gardens needing attention/planting all at once.
one more week of weeding/bean planting and i can get around to it at last. by then the peak color will have passed but it is still a pleasure to weed and be around because the fragrance is also in the foliage.
After the 2023-4 Winter sub-zero cold with zero snow cover, we had 1 foxglove blooming in the yard last year and zero blooming here in their customary place along the north wall of the greenhouse.
The foxglove seeds in that ground sprouted and made a nice green cover last year. Those plants returned in 2025 in mass! I thinned them but allowed as many to remain as I thought might be able to stand up and bloom. Boom!
