Where is the garden???

Mary"s thrown out a challenge, everyone to her garden for a weed hunt LOL
Nyboy, I actually get excited when I find one in my large containers! lol With the wood chips as mulch it's so easy to pull. Believe it or not, almost everyday I look for a weed. lol

@dewdropsinwv My legs are killing me after a 3 hour stint in the garden. We came home from vacation to find weeds smothering EVERYTHING. Weeds taller than the vegetables. I need to do lots more. But got heavy rain again last night. And will be recovering from out patient surgery for the next week or 2. Sure hope to be able to salvage something.

Once again I got chased in the house from rain and thunder. :/ Glad they are gone now. Tomorrow is supposed to be a good day...no rain....or so they say. But at least a chance of rain all the way threw Tuesday. :o I'm never going to get the weeds under control

I think I should have ya all over to look for my green beans. :( Lost somewhere in the weeds. They might be as scarce at Mary's weeds.

If my weeds continue to outgrow what I planted, I just might re-assess the idea that weeds should be allowed to grow side-by-side with garden crops. That idea suggests native weeds will keep pests from bothering the crops, hold the soil moisture, and perpetually replenish the soil.

Sounds like a good plan. Yup! I planned my garden that way! Weeds? Nope those are my natural bug traps.

Harvested before they set seeds ...

weeds can be thought of as a useful "compost crop."

I have a "weed" in my garden that drives me insane..... it's called pig weed. I hate that stuff and don't know of much that can kill it.... round up works pretty good, but pulling them out and letting the sun bake the roots works really good too. We have been fighting that stuff for the past 10 + years.... if it goes to seed.... look out

Got it, too. Seems to come back no matter what.
