Why is selling stuff so difficult?

Laying hens, aquatic things.
On aquatic things, here people ask silly prices on such things. They list things at store retail prices, discount it some, then try to sell it. People that buy expensive aquatic items buy service.

We have a very successful “swap meet” in area. Use to be locals selling off extras, now, lot of junk. I want to almost cry when I see the poultry as most are junk. Few decent ones are priced with top show stock-which they aren’t. Seller brags how they won local fair...please, here I’ve seen animals that have DQ faults with blue ribbons....

Long winded post to say, good luck as sales are hard. Have to find your niche group.

Presentation is a big help. Take attractive photos with clear backgrounds. If the bird is expensive breeding stock, it's worth washing the bird before taking the photos so it shows to its best advantage.
