Worse than new.

2 Nawtherners against a dozen pea pickers (both real and adopted) is almost fair odds. Pea pickers really need a few more.....

Can't WAIT!!!! 😄 You need @majorcatfish....he too is somewhere in the middle, where life is sooooooo much better, according to him. :gigHe also grows some stunning gardens, so he's got those bragging rights honestly.

So glad you are here!
Welcome to the forums. I envy those people that have their gardens as neat as possible. for I'm having issues cleaning mine.

i consider it a sign of a rather sick mind if things are too tidy. nature doesn't mind a bit of what looks like chaos, it really isn't though. it is just diversity and layers working together to harvest the sun's energy and to keep the earth covered with things growing. bare dirt to me looks sterile. to Mom it looks tidy. somehow we manage to find a way to garden together anyways and things that are important enough get done eventually. if not they'll be there the next season i can get out there. :)

besides if it were all done what would i do?

:welcome from a former resident of Midlands SC (Saluda county). Piedmont, where you are living, is colder and more mountainous the the rest of SC. Unfortunately, when I lived in Fountain Inn, I wasn't able to even have a garden.
I recently moved back to my hometown of Kansas City MO, so I can work on planting the things I grew up with.
Pull up a comfy chair and start reading!!
