Red chain saws and other 2 cylinder motors do need oil added to gas. Don't ask me how i know this. Sunday will be only day I can work at planting the rest of my fruit trees, hoping for good weather.

Yes, but not gas added to the oil.

Son says the oil was overfilled -- hence the smoke -- and after a while the oil level will get back to normal and the machine should be just fine. That is good news! I was afraid that gas had been poured into the oil.
