Heating up again.

Humidity ... I took a look at the recent days in Lansing, Michigan. (That's kind of "mid-Michigan, USoA" and in one of theTEG gardener's neck of the woods .) Never below 57% humidity in Lansing on those recent days.

Our recent hot → mild days, during the morning's coolness, (55°f this morning), the humidity was 55%. On that 97°f afternoon, the humidity was 18%. As they say (only partly correct), "it's not the heat, it's the humidity." It is also partly correct to say that the cold feels more cold in higher humidity. ... I'd sure like to see some rain on our horizon! We absolutely can do without any lightening but a half inch of rain over 12 hours would likely be of considerable benefit.

Still inside, but we finally have had some good rains that I have watched from inside the house and on the porch. Messed up my Godmower, they picked it up Monday, the drive to go forwards and back had slipped off, checked it and put it back and it was back yesterday. DD drove it to the Carriage House, which they have now renamed my
"She Shed." Mowing with the tractor (DH), Godmower (eldest DD) and trim work with new self driving push mower (youngest DD) will be tomorrow evening, ahead of Saturday's predicted t storms.
Good chances of rain and Heavy rain for the next 5 days.

Lucky you! Some cool relief. We are still in the hot and humid/hot and muggy that only tropical plants really love weather. NO real relief for us until probably mid September.

Last couple of days weather here has been in high 90’sF and 100’s on lower elevations near Portland. I live up in the foothill at 800’ elevation and trees surround the property keeping it cool by a process called transpiration by more than 10 degrees cooler.
