Your Weather, 2025

Unusual Day.

Not unusual for a high temperature in mid-September but unusual that it is the first afternoon since May 23rd that the thermometer hasn't hit 70°f (21°C) !

It rained. Maybe we will have more than the 1/10th of an inch that the Weather Service predicted but, I think that they had a good enuf guess. It will be just as cool tomorrow but then warming up again.

Rain has been more on than off. It's somewhat refreshing after so much dry weather.

Nancy doesn't agree though

It’s almost time to crank up the furnace… 71H , 44F tonite…. Burrrr.

we've had ours on a few times last week, but not the past few days. a few days last week we also had the heat on at night and then the day was hot and humid enough that Mom wanted the AC on (crazy talk i know...).

It was a real dip in temperatures. Since it has been such an incredibly dry Summer –– I won't call our 1/3rd inch of rain a dip because it was welcome and a little more than a "drip."

Afternoon temperatures for 2 days to start the week were below 70° (room temperature C & F :)). Then, it warmed to a sunny & pleasant day yesterday with 79°f (26°C). The morning lows haven't been very chilly and, this morning, may not go below 60f (16C).

We are back to warmer than normal, by quite a bit, dry and sunny. Our normal weather was something of a shock but there is no choice but to welcome it and very strongly hope for moisture during the Autumn months.

It was 31C(88F) here yesterday, which was uncomfortably warm. We have several more nice sunny days ahead, and then the rains will return on Saturday evening. My plan for each of the next few days is to harvest, weed, and mulch as much of the garden as I can with bulk compost. The harvest is incredible this year, so on Sunday we'll stay indoors and make salsa with all of the tomatoes and peppers that we're picking. 🌶️🌶️🌶️
