It Rained ... a total of 5/100th of an inch. Some of the potholes had water in them for awhile.
Back from a 7:30 AM medical appointment and it was 43°F (6°C) in our neighborhood when we left for that.
The house was 68f (20C) and it still is that temperature but we can open windows this afternoon and warm it to "room temperature" . It may be the same morning temperature tomorrow AM so I may have to put a vest over my long-sleeve shirt and t-shirt here in the lazyboy. I had a sweater on for the drive this morning
This is normal temperature for the First Day of Autumn, the Weather Service tells us. The deal is –– it is supposed to warm right back up into the 80's and 50's highs and lows by tomorrow. There's no rain in our 7 day forecast.
Steve, the morning sun was brutal on the morning drive. dang EW streets ... they should allow SE/NW, SW/NE driving across people's lawns and backyards during the equinox!
Today is the first day of spring. And the equinox is when the sun aligns with the equator. From now on the days will be shorter and shorter. Then we turn the dang clocks back…Daylight Saving Time begins on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November. To remember which way to set their clocks, folks often use the expression, “spring forward, fall back.”
It was chilly here and light rain the last few mornings but warming up by the afternoons. We had a wind storm that caused a whole lot of needles and pine cones to the litter everything. Have mountains to clean up . One of the biggest issue living next to a forest. Will blow the driveway , roof and out buildings off with the battery op blower. The rest all needs to be raked out between the garden plants. Then mulched. Yikes..
@digitS’ hope your doc appt went ok and sorry about the drive there. Your experience this AM is always an issue with drivers here too. Reason i installed a dash cam and rear cam. Just is case. I always have a close call just minding my own biz … ya never know when a volatile driver will cross your path. Be careful out there…
