we had flood and flash flood watches and warnings out for yesterday and last night but i've never been worried about it flooding here badly enough that it causes damage to the house. it is so flat here that it would take storms dropping several feet of rain at a time for us to get floods up that high.
flash flooding we do have and sometimes water comes across the road but it drains away quickly enough.
four inches of rain on ground already soaked will certainly get the drainage channels going and the ditches full.

Dunno WHY they bother telling us we have a freeze warning for tonight through mid morning Tuesday. Of Course there will be several freezes until...there are NOT several freezes. We have even had frost first week of May before.
Anyway, since I haven't yet planted my 3 blueberries or the 9 new strawberries, They are going on to the porch today, instead of sitting of water that will turn into ice.
I need a nap.

after putting the trash out this morning i went back for a nap too. 
i guess i needed it...
the local town has some flooding and the road is closed through town but there is a way around it all so that works for Mom's commute. i'm not sure if one of the bridges is the problem or something else.

No 80 degrees Fahrenheit but we did have our first 70f on a sunny 6th of April (21⁰C).
Then, the 7th was just as sunny but breezy and the afternoon thermometers never made it above 60f (16C). Yesterday, it was every bit as sunny without any wind but it was 61f for a high (still 16C) ...
I guess that it was too early in the year for 70 degree days — it was approaching the record. It has been cooler but it all feels quite pleasant with so much sunshine. I feel a little deprived having other tasks keeping me from much time in the outdoors but the hoophouse beds are half planted and the transplants in the greenhouse are coming along nicely. Also, I enjoyed a pleasant 60 mile round trip through the countryside on that 70 degree day (100 km
).

Maybe I could add to the above:
We have had frosty mornings on some of these sunny days. That includes this morning.
Not at all surprising for this location to have such drops in temperature on quiet, still nights. We will be out of frost danger before too long.

22C today, gosh, almost like summer - the laundry dried so quickly in the greenhouse.
