harvested the last of the green beans, hard to fill the bucket most had rust on them so just left them, bucket of eggplant, bell peppers and highlander peppers.
guess it's time to think about tilling and laying down some red clover...

Hey, I love WV, but if I were to move anywhere, it would be NC! Love the OBX and I want to buy property and retire there someday. DH was just down there for a tuna fishing trip last weekend.

Major, you sure get hugh harvests of everything!

Mary
mary you have to remember, if i put all my gardens together they would be about half the size of your property... when picking seeds for the garden i look for varieties that have an high yield, and that don't peter out after just one picking...

Just beautiful! It almost makes me want to move to NC.
But not quite. :D

Are those Highlander peppers hot or sweet?
the highlanders are mild and sweet after they turn red, was a good find for the garden this year.
made rellenos last weekend had a couple left over, took the coating off, heated up some beans and rice made an Mexican omelet..that was yummm

What do you recommend for a high yield yellow squash? For some reason, I have a hard time with yellow squash. I get 2 good ones and then the rest start rotting when they are a couple inches long.
