majors 2016 garden..

Ya know,

kale haters should try Portuguese kale. It resembles cabbage more than Scotch kale. And ...

Lisbon is 39° north so .... almost exactly astride the Mason Dixon.

Steve ;)

That reminds me, I found this in an old book, "Americas Best Loved Poems"...

***Ode to Seedcorn***

~ He wouldn't be so pale
~ if only he ate more kale
Ode? Am I going somewhere? What is in that package? I see no advantage to eating green cardboard.

Ok Steve, if it tastes like cabbage, why not just grow cabbage?
Not quite cabbage and not quite collards, if'n I remember what collards taste like.

You could use Scotch kale or cabbage for a Portuguese kale soup but why not go all the way?!

Ya know, the Portuguese were the first to sail from Europe aaallll the way around Africa, to get to Asia and back!

Intrepid! Odes were written about them!
