kale haters should try Portuguese kale. It resembles cabbage more than Scotch kale. And ...

Lisbon is 39° north so .... almost exactly astride the Mason Dixon.

humm lets see...
going to be out of town all next week...kale...... nope not going to be on the menu planner.
on that happy note, off to pack the bag have dinner and off to bed..

Ode? Am I going somewhere? What is in that package? I see no advantage to eating green cardboard.

Ok Steve, if it tastes like cabbage, why not just grow cabbage?
Not quite cabbage and not quite collards, if'n I remember what collards taste like.

You could use Scotch kale or cabbage for a Portuguese kale soup but why not go all the way?!

Ya know, the Portuguese were the first to sail from Europe aaallll the way around Africa, to get to Asia and back!

Intrepid! Odes were written about them!

the asparagus are done for the season so weeded it out this morning..
