I have 2 giant metal urns at work, they are the first thing you see when you pull in driveway. Last spring I planted them with wave petunias, I envisioned them growing down the sides thick with flowers. Never happened !!!!! One of my best clients in the fall said he was going to get me some thing special in the spring for them. Early spring I found drop in blooms, they where heavily planted pots made for containers. They looked great and where starting to grow I was very happy with them. Yesterday client dropped by and told me to come outside. He had 2 small pots and 2 4packs, he told me they where for my urns. The small pot is a dragon begonia for center then 4 annuals to go around the begonia. The urn went from full and healthy looking to empty and sorry looking. He told me he was going to check them every time he comes to kennel. He is a very nice man who spends a outrageous amount of money with me. So all I do is bite my lip and smile.

Oh. :\
The Dragon begonia should be beautiful when it's blooming, not sure how the vinca will look with it. But you're right about keeping your customer happy.

I would keep the petunias going and looking healthy in case the new transplants don't thrive.

Give them a diluted fertilizer every week when you water and they will reward you.

I'm sure it will be beautiful (eventually). My wave petunias never really looked that good when I planted them but yours sure was pretty.
