those are close to or what i have. solid color. bright red, slight orangeish. i have a dozen smaller ones that need a home if anyone wants one... not sure what shipping a blob would be like, but will have to wait for warmer weather.

I'll take them! I love amaryllis! Just let me know when you are ready to send them, I'll pay you back for the postage.

ok, send me a PM with your mailing address the end of Feb early March or so and i'll keep some unwatered so they won't be actively growing when i send it/them. they are not large bulbs yet, so it may take a few years for them to get to flowering size. as for postage, no worries... just pass them along to others at times is fine with me. :)

No one more generous then a gardener !!!!!

we have so many flowers here. 20yrs of daffodil, etc. growing... i wanted to take extras and start putting them along the road up and down along the edge of the ditches to bloom in the spring. i could easily go a half mile in all three directions. too busy with other things... eventually... :)

in the spring Mom's version of dead-heading is to just take bundles of cut flowers to anyone who'll take them. no dead-heading needed... if there is anything i want seeds from or to mark certain plants i have to tell her a few times to not cut certain ones until i get them marked. daffodils have done well here. everything else is animal food. i miss my crocuses the most.

i was redoing a garden and had moved them all into a temporary location and was just about to move them back when the chipmunks found them and took almost all of them. several hundred gone... :( that's what i got for not protecting them. but they looked so nice all in that one spot too. have to wire mesh over all of them to keep them from getting dug up. now i just try to spread them around so the chipmunks don't get all of them. sometimes the chipmunks will spread them around too. :)
