The idea about sharing this occurred to me reading @Nyboy 's thread on what we carry out of the house. I decided to carry this idea over here.

A guy writing about his weight this week said something about being too heavy, weighing 220#. He said that he didn't have enough a** to hold up his pants. The thinking must be that more is needed.

Perhaps he is just confusing fore and aft ...

Adequate sleep must be important to a healthy and productive life.

How do you get enough sleep?

Steve
a very unusual 7 hours of sleep a day ago, less than 4 hours last night

DH came to bed about an hour after me. I was still awake :( Then started to snore and snored ALL night. Nothing would wake him or get him to change positions. :( Not a lot of sleep for me last night. I Usually get between 6 and 7.

during these months of winter, if left to my own devices i can stay up half the night, but i'm trying to stick to a sort of regular sleep schedule since i may have to be up early. once the weather gets warmer i'm more in tune with daylight hours and fall asleep earlier. fresh air and exercise helps me sleep like a rock.

recently i've been on a very bad habit of getting up, having breakfast and then going back to sleep for a while.

mom is usually up early, has her coffee, quilts for a while, eats then takes a nap. i had coffee with her today... *zoom!* :) so i may not nap until later. have a project to work on until then.

A more normal pattern, last night:

In bed by 9:30, up by 3:30, so that's 6 hours, or more like 5 1/2.

I remember thinking as a teenager that 9 hours was common, if left to myself. It would be wonderful if I could return to that and, altho any sleep beyond 5 is now sweet. I am concerned that the schedule may be trending down. Despite decades of habit ...

PLEASE try it @Nyboy I agree with your Dr. and @ninnymary PLEASE try it. Make it work for you. We want to have you around for a long time. :hugs I really did not like my CPAP at 1st. Now I would not dream of going to sleep without it. I am more alert, sleep better MOST nights (Still the occasional sleepless night. But not due to the apnea.)
