And this big void is where my blue lakes used to be, I will be planting 5 rows of blue lakes, and 5 rows of purple hulls just as soon as it dries out a little.

Thanks Major, yep the corn and Okra are loving it. I'm hoping to get all the beans replanted this week, but I'm not holding my breath. I went to crank the tiller to get the streak of weeds and grass you see between my cantaloupes and cucumbers....pull rope broke...so it will be Friday before I get that done. I'll be so glad when stuff starts filling out shading out some weeds, its a lot easier to care for.

What do you do with all the bounty from your garden?

Between my house, my daughters house, my mother-in-law, and 4 sister in-laws it gets gone pretty quick. If anything's left we take it to the farmers market here in town.

It started out like everything else, small and simple, now its still a lot of fun but its time consuming.

With all this rain we've had, everything is jumping by leaps and bounds, I'll get some up date pictures this afternoon.

Man its been hot, rain has held off a couple of days, things are drying out. Finally able to get in the garden to do some weeding. Tomatoes are about tall as the CP. Better boys are loaded with tomatoes, Brandywines have blooms, but no fruit yet. Cherokee Purples have some blooms but not many. I have several jalapenos hanging, bells are forming, and a few bananas. Cucumbers are loaded with blooms, a few Zucchini are blooming, and I will be picking yellow squash this week. Yellow corn is about 5' tall and the Okra is getting ready to bloom. I'm going to have my hands full in a couple weeks so update might slow down for a bit.

Finally got my weeds under control, Garden dried up enough to get 5 rows of Blue lakes planted, and got the tiller running so I was able to work the weeds in real good. This week alone I've gotten jalapeno's, Kale, and some zucchini out the garden. Better boys have a ton of tomatoes on them, Brandywines, still a lot of blooms. I see plenty of cucumbers, will probably get a few in a couple of days. Yellow squash is loaded, will be picking on those before the weekends over. Yellow corn is tasseled out, and Okra is just about ready to start blooming.
