Thank you! I have to know I am doing the best I can for my health. I weighed this morning and I stopped the keto diet June 30 and since then no diet until I went to this new doctor on Wednesday and not really following a diet until I go back Monday and see what all she recommends, but I am down 0.4, so I did not gain all that time off a diet and down 18.8 since beginning of March and without exercise.

@Gardening with Rabbits , have you thought about purchasing a Fitbit? I have one it counts your steps ,tells you how many calories you have burned, and tracks your sleep patterns. You can also enter all the food and water that you consume and it will count your calories and tell you when you need to drink more water. Mine also tells me to get up and move more if I sit to long at certain times of day when I should be moving. It has many more functions but I don’t use them. One of the functions it has that I do use , is it streams the name of the caller when your cell phone rings, and you can read your texts streaming on it without taking out your phone. It has a phone app that will give you your stats for the day,week,month,and year. It is kind of spendy but I wear mine everyday and like having it to check time,date,steps,andheart rate several times a day. Hey it even tells me when to get ready for bed, where would I be without that.

for me the biggest thing during the summer is being able to acclimate to the heat. that greatly decreases the appetite. with the AC running i'm not as able to do that and so i don't lose as much as i'd like.

we're on a new kick lately so perhaps eventually i'll be able to reach my goal for the summer... Mom's doing good and i'm trying to eat up all the junkfood so it won't be around any more and once that is gone i hope i can talk Mom into not buying any more. i won't eat it or buy it myself but if it is here i'll eat it.

when i'm more active in the summer i can usually eat about anything i want. this summer i'm watching what i eat because i'm not as active as i normally would. things are picking up now we are getting some cooler days and my arm and knee are gradually improving so i hope i can peel off 5lbs this month. if i go outside for a while today i should be able to sweat off a few lbs.

i consider it a victory if any winter season i can limit my weight gain to 5lbs or less. last winter i think i held pretty steady for a change. this spring i dropped a few being very active, but then the injuries have kept me working lightly.

ok, time for breakfast and then out i go, even if it is only for an hour it will be good enough. :)

My weight yo-yo's through the 12 months, also.

I may be back in the future with questions about addictive active behavior ;). I'm very active for an olde guy, right now. However, I need rest at times and what I find is that I am snacking a good deal during my work breaks.

At one time in my life, I was getting very little sleep. Okay, I feel the need to stay awake what am I gonna do? Wretched sleep patterns ~ I gained weight from eating too much.
