I return to this because it's such a clear indication of the human toll this year has brought. ALL causes are taken in - there's no need for any decision on cause, one vs another so no need for "conclusive" test data. It's incomplete in the recent weeks because the information comes into the central authority (the CDC) so slowly from the counties and states. Some lag horribly but ... they're busy.

State by state information is given by the list "Select a jurisdiction" in the upper left. Of course, we are interested in what is going on where we live. The numbers are just numbers. Look at dates through the years (you can hover the cursor). If you would like to see the results of a crisis, scroll all the way down to Puerto Rico. Bang! What happened in September 2017 ?

I would have liked it better if there was a period after "surviving". That life-saving treatments are becoming more widely available is encouraging news, and we certainly need that.
