39Fish... clear & cool, with scattered trout.

Checked the garden thermometer just before bed, it read 39 F degrees... but no sign of frost damage this morning. Long range forecast shows one more dip into the 30's next Wednesday, then a warmup. The pumpkins are starting to change color & 3 beans are just starting to ripen, I could use however many extra days we might be blessed with.

same here! i've got lima beans just filling a bunch of pods, every extra week i get means a better possible crop even if it will only be shellies.

we just had a misty squall go by and as i was watching it come down with the wind and everything i was thinking wow that looks like S**W. it wasn't, but this time of the year it can sometimes happen.
Ssshhhhh... :duc Two more chances of frost this week, but my suburban gardens should escape - this time. A slight warm-up after that,so the gardens should at least make it to our Oct 5th average freeze date. That's good, because dry seed harvest is heavy, and picking up.

It took me all day to figure your expletive OUT. We have seen S**W as early as October 12th. I even took some video of it with my phone.
This year I don't expect any until November. Last year we had warm up to almost Christmas.

Frosty is always listening...
