Please make sure your recipe is an approved recipe to can, you cannot just can any old recipe, there are a lot of issues to deal with, if you make a sauce you like, freeze it unless you use a recipe from a reliable source, like the ball blue book.

I just read the post fungus among us, and I'm hoping I too have hothouse issues and not something else going on!

We had 2 hail storm here last year, mid season, it took out most of the garden, it looked like someone pelted it with a machine gun! We were so bummed. Then the tomatoes got some kinf of fungus of wilt, and we lost those too!
Should I cover my iris plants they are just starting to poke out of the ground!
Doesn't seem that anything else has yet! 2-4 for tonight through tomorrow!

We dig trenches to about 5" deep, then cover the potato and when we see them sprout we cover them up again with soil, we do that about 4 or 5 times. We then have hills! After that when we see them sprout we let it go and they grow like mad...
We have our seed potatoes from last years harvest, They have grown some eyes, should we break off those long eyes and then plant or leave the eyes on? This is our first year not buying seed potatoes!

We have volunteer cherry tomatoes growing out of out compost pile, would you eat them?
