I have some garlic, and lavender in pots already, but have yet to plant (for 2 months), peas, lettuce, green peppers, and strawberries; and around a month or so later, black beans, bachelor's buttons, and pumpkins.

I'm planting radishes today. I planted peas two weeks ago.:)

They're much smaller than potato beetle larvae, like tiny, and aren't as fat or long as grubs. I think they are already fully grown. They are also more brownish-red than red. They aren't really eating the tomato, just turning it yellowy. 30 min. later... They're aphids! The reason I didn't...

The title says it all; there are these little rust-colored bugs that look like ticks ( I know they aren't), that are sucking on one of my tomato plants, they seem to be multiplying daily. What are they, and can I get rid of them?:/

There used to be, like, twelve little developing apples between my two trees, but the deer around here cleared one tree completely, and snipped off a couple from my other tree! MRAH!!! How can I fence them inexpensively, but deer-proof-ly? :th

I've got a lot of pots, and not much space in the ground, so herbs in pots would be good. BUT, I knew a lady who had herbs in the garden, and in the ground, and the ones in the pots were much smaller and less... extravagant.:happy_flower

Today, I planted a Bing cherry tree, a pear tree, and two mcintosh apple trees. :D

Mine's good. My peas are starting to climb their trellises, radishes will be big enough to eat in a couple of weeks. My tomatoes just started sprouting, and my sunflowers, asters, and bachelor's buttons are growing really fast. :D Nice garden btw.

Is it just me, or does farming require a lot of science? :P

My neighbor had 6 peach tree saplings (the biggest is 5ft. high, and the smallest is about 2.5ft. high) and gave them to me last summer. 5 of them survived, and I'm wondering whether they'll actually make fruit. I mean, they're blossoming and everything, but they're kinda young... :/

I've heard how it kills most weeds, and some pests, but it sounds pretty expensive, and impractical. I just tilled my garden, and I want to de-weed it fairly thoroughly. :)
