I've had all sorts or plants in it at different times and fish. I usually drain it once a year to give it a good scrub but it is a small pond.

I'm envious of all of the pictures of the beautiful ponds. Mine is a simple pond 100/120 gallons that I've had for around 20 years. it's fun.

I had fish but not now. I have trees that are constantly dropping leaves not deciduous and they clog my pump box. My husband is researching other ways to circulate the water where the leaves may not be much of an issue. I have to daily clean the leave out. I could put a net over the pond but...

I know this is an old thread and my problem is sandburs. Last year I dug out what seems like billions. It was kind of late so some of the burs did drop off. Anyone know of a way to eliminate them. It came up in the field where we planted our Egyptian Wheat which we plant for our Pheasants and Quail.

My DH and I have spent many hours (days) googling for this. That is why I posted to see if anyone had any idea what it is. We have visited hundreds of sites and have not been able to find it.

My camera is a good camera except it doesn't do close-ups very well. It's raining out right now but when it stops I'll go out and see if I can get a picture of the flower. The individual petals are kind of heart shaped.
