Im a sucker for Sweet Peas as well and have bought from these folks for a long time. These later years i find myself gravitating to the fragrance collections.

I love sweet pea blooms. They grow wild here in the Pacific Northwest and grace us with their pretty blooms every summer! 😍

I would think that Sweet Peas would do quite well in your cooler climate. I am questioning why you want to grow Queen Anne's Lace. It is native to GB, but is an invasive in my neck of the woods and frequently tries to grow wild on my property. Perhaps you might consider growing yallow, which IS native and attracts pollinators.
Just a thought...

Yes, sweet peas have always done well for me. ☺️ My thought about Queen Anne's Lace wasn't to grow it, it was the fact that I want to try and plant some carrots for seeds and the carrot plant flowers can get cross contaminated by the flowers from the Queen Anne's Lace. That plant (weed) was the main reason I've not really tried carrots for seed, aside from concerns about wintering the carrots inside. That lace stuff grows all over the place in the fall, a lot on the gravelly sides of roads. I assumed I'd need a mile away from the stuff for isolation, but it turns out isolation distance required from Queen Anne's Lace is 800 metres. So, while it is around, there are probably no plants that close to where my carrots will be.🤞

I'm envious of these great prices! I do find the cost of sweet peas here astronomical if you aren't buying them off racks at the hardware store. I near fell over last night when I saw these -

And there is a tomato offered that costs $17.95 for 25 seeds, and it isn't GMO. And its actually sold out. 🫣

i've managed to eradicate Queen Annes Lace here on the front part of the gardens. not because i dislike it (i don't) but because we had a lot of more formal gardens with hollyhocks that Mom really liked and so i kept weeding them out when they'd sprout so they weren't competing with the holyhocks or other flowers. then after having a large amount of hollyhocks growing all over the place we were invaded by rust and so i had to weed those out. both are very tough plants to deal with in heavy soil...
