I ordered from the site too. I got the smaller blade (3"?) I don't have the info open and I don't remember. I think the wider blade will be better for most of what I do, but the small one was good for around the blueberries to get those weeds close in. I'm going to order the wider 6" . I can use it at work in most of the beds.

I ordered from the site as well. I got the 6" blade and 60" handle. think I could have used the 54" maybe better. It works great as it is. They are nice people. Talked with Mary when it was on backorder to see if they had a 54" in stock.

54" is what I'll get then. I like that they make them with ash handles. It is hard to find anything with a good handle anymore. I can't tell you how many shovels I've broken on our hard clay. Maybe DH can make me something to go over the scuffle hoe's head in storage. The kids getting their toes is the only thing I'd worry about. I'm always after them to quit running around with bamboo. :hide

The handles are exceptional. They have a nice solid heft to them. I think this is a tool that if cared for can be passed along to the grandkids. Not that I have any...maybe someday.

I ordered it, but it may take awhile, on backorder. If my weeds get knee-high, we'll really put it to the test. :p

Bee you should print this thread out and send it to hoe marketing dept. with all the hoes you sold for them they should send you a free one. That happened to me on a book called Cavalier in art, I told all my clients about the book. Author called me thanked me and sent me free copy of her other book.

Some pics of the flowers thus far this year, all grown in the BTE. It's definitely a flower year!

Don't know the name of this flower but I LOVE the hue of blue...anyone got a good guess? It was in the wildflower seeds I planted.
