Canesister's 2019 farm journal

Cane, do you remember a long long time ago you sent me some iris, and you were curious about what color they would bloom?

Well, they never bloomed where I planted them so I never found out.
Last summer we rearranged the back yard and the iris got moved from the old spot in front of the chicken pen, to the new spot by the gate of the new downsized chicken pen.
And guess what? They are getting ready to bloom! Finally!

Nyboy hijack: I do the gardening at a local rental. I had a teenager dig up a huge old pile of iris...He brought them to my new home (I left the old one last week) in the side yard and so over the next few weeks I'll start hacking them up to get some good rhizomes. I don't know what color they are either.

Hey yall - I've had GOBS AND GOBS of rain over the last week or so. Half of my tomatoes are doing GREAT - growing so fast you can almost see it and setting fruit. The other half have suddenly wilted. No damage to the leaves or vines that I can find.
Too much water??? Or something else I need to look for?
eta: no discoloring, no other sign of disease - just bright, green wilted leaves. There will be a wilted one beside a growing one beside a wilted one....?
