reminds me of Russ, @Bluejay77. :)

was very ill today, not viral, just a bad choice in what and how i ate. amazing that a bit of gas in the digestive system can cause so much pain and grief, all the while not too far away you have an entire segment of the same tract sitting there with plenty of gas production going on...

Here's my list milk and magnesium (one old remedie) bicarbonate soda or coconut water for any acidic problems my favourite of all for various other tummy bugs, food poisoning or dodgy chemicals is activated charcoal.

often in the past i've been able to head it off before it gets to the stage it did the other day. even when it reaches the really bad stage i can also do some things that help it go away faster. none of those worked the other day so it was just a matter of getting through it and it getting through me.

it wasn't a bug or infection or virus or food poisoning. just physical issue from gas being in the wrong place and my body reacting to that. i've been through it before so i'm glad at least that i know what is going on, but while it is going on it makes for some long minutes.

for stomach issues Mom's universal cure is to drink some Coke and eat some crackers. i skip the crackers. :) later in the day i had some chocolate milk and a few Jr. Mints and some crackers and none of that bothered me.

Please try not to take chocolate milk with this problem. Mint tea with honey? What do you think.

I know you're not a horse  :)
A farmer I know lost his horse too colic last year. :( . My friend that shares the same land as him always gives both her horses strong mints a couple of times a week. These were neglected creatures and one being very weak when she found him but that was six years ago, today they are both healthy and very contented.

When my digestive system is really bothering me, white bread toasted as black as I can stand it (washed down with filtered water) seems to clear it up.

:ep Burnt white bread that's not going to help, no wonder you have a bad stomach :duc
Burnt usually mean carcinogenic, carcinogens can cause cancer. Then you have the carbs, not good with a gassy tummy.

i know you're trying to be helpful, but i've said now a few times that the distress was not in the stomach. :)

I'll come back to this. A little tired, now I feel I have missed what you were saying, sorry.

Take care :)

I don't have a bad stomach, and very seldom have gastrointestinal issues of any kind. Even then, the problem usually cures itself with no action on my part, other than temporary dietary restrictions. Only when I have "stomach flu" (I've always hated that term) do I eat the burnt toast, and it helps. It was a trick I learned overseas, where "stomach" ailments were much more common.
