Snowing a blizzard here in sunny east Texas! Still have electricity but satellite dish full of snow, so TV off. But at least we are warm. Next winter there will be a wood burning heater!

Did I know that the extreme angle of the satellite dishes around here would be an advantage with snow??? Neighbor's dish looks like it's pointed at my chimney ...

Our dish gets snow covered. Even at the angle it's at the snow sticks.That's why one of the fall chores is to drag the old wooden ladder over and set it up next to the house. And a small shrub rake leans against it to clear the dish...

So, NYB what are you going to do? They have electric tape that wraps a pipe to thaw-or to keep from freezing.

Pipes defrosted wasn't pretty I walked into pond in my livingroom!!! But work has heat When every one left I took a bath in tub we wash dogs. 2 days is the longest I can go without washing.
