@bobm , It is more like 96%, actually, but that doesn't equate to being 96% similar in form or function. You also share about 60% of your genetic code with bananas, 85% with mice... We are talking about 3 billion base pairs in the human genome. Those remaining 4% code for the vast differences between us and chimps. What macro-evolution cannot account for is where this huge library of genetic information came from. Even the tiniest organisms are genetically complex. There is no room for trial and error. Mutations and deletions in code prove disasterous. Dead organisms do not replicate. Now what you mean to demonstrate with the horse, micro-evolution, is an entirely different thing. Natural selection, the ability of organisms to change and adapt to their environment over time, drawing from the genetic information already present, that is observable, testable, repeatable. A horse is always a horse. A dog, always a dog, etc. Molecules-to-man evolution and ultimately the belief everything-arose-from-nothing is not, hence requiring belief or faith as to the origin.

Could God have used molecules-to-man evolution?...Technically, sure, if he so wanted. But he didn't have to at all, because he is, of course, God. And he tells us that he literally spoke the world into existence. Otherwise, what he called "very good" would have been built upon millions of years of suffering and death, which is obviously not good at all. Romans 5:12 - Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. No death before sin... 1Corinthians 15:22 - For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Sin, the problem...Christ is the solution. It is God's free gift, if you choose to accept it.
Eph 2:8-9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.

Incredibly well spoken and WOW and AMEN. :woot

~My claim is Christianity ,my birthright,```

I'm just wandering through and 'overheard' something.. Christianity is not anyone's birthright. It is: a belief, a choice, a gift, a way of life.. but it's not a right.. birth or otherwise. You do not 'get' it from your parents or your heritage.

Greetings and good morning cane~re: right I believe it so~still you're entitled to think your think~you're also entitled to Christianity as well~ yes~it's not a cloak to put on an go~put there by our parents~but a way of life coupled with the worship and love of our Lord~ no we can't be thief, a monster, an all round nasterd and be truly be said to follow our God~ but`

It is our birthright and yours~if you think about it~ and that of many a nonbeliever who fail to claim it~or sell it for a meal```

" Mutations and deletions in code prove disasterous...Natural selection, the ability of organisms to change and adapt to their environment over time, drawing from the genetic information already present, that is observable, testable, repeatable. " ...... While mutations and deletions in code MAY prove to be disasterous, they also MAY be adventagous then by Natural selection which in turn given time and environment lead to new species. On the other hand, the existing species carrying their own unchanged genetic code, can continue to thrive or if they can not adapt to changes in their environment and/ or competition from mutated individuals or loose the ability to mate with them to produce living offspring that too can reproduce , MAY or WILL eventually change or go extinct.

Seriously, do you understand how many positive mutations that it would require to create every living organism on this planet? Whereas it is difficult in the here and now to even find any mutation that has not been detrimental to the species or a LOSS of information. Besides where did you get the original DNA material in the first place? Statistically impossible, no matter how many millenia you tack on there! Think again... It takes WAY more faith to trust in evolution than in God.

Some folks have a difficult time understanding the concept of the "birds and the bees ". Every time fertilization takes place an entirely new individual is created so that new life form will not be an exact copy of it's parents. Over time, the original life form rarely stays the same , but changes through selection of the fittest to better survive it's ever changing environment .

"Original DNA" "All Animals same designer" all plants as well```

The difference between a non believer and and Atheist is: Atheism is a deeply held religion~ a non believer if shown the truth is free to accept ~~ An Atheist being deeply religious is prepared no only to deny Atheism is a religion and argue and it's merits but to attack Christianity as their principle opponent~for as Christianity is True Atheism is banished```

Bob, those variation in kind, speciation, only ever observably produce changes within the species. A bird is still a bird, a fruit fly still a fruit fly. Shuffling and selecting for traits from the existing DNA material does not produce the new genes necessary to create an all new creature. New genetic material is not created by selective breeding. The ability to code for certain traits is actually lost. A wolf, a great dane, a chihuahua...are all canines from an original canine that possessed in his genes everything necessary to branch out into those sub-species. Genes for height, coat length, color, etc. were discarded along the way. You can keep developing new breeds, but all you ever get is a dog. Natural selection does not have the ability to create new original genetic material. Observable, testable, repeatable...some folks don't understand what science really is.
