I want a Magnolia Tree!

I love magnolias. they're so regal. not planting any here though. if it doesn't like hot AND dry - it doesn't belong in my landscape.

I love end of season sales. $10.00 for a magnolia is a great deal, what kind is it?

There's NO TAG, so I don't know!!!
They were selling "pink" and some kind of red, so I guess I'll find out. Don't have ANY IDEA of the actual name bc the clearance tag said "magnolia" and I do recognize the leaves.

I looked again at the tags again and one reads: "Magnolia Jane." I think it's more magenta than pale pink.

Little Jane Magnolias are the deciduous kind and should grow well for you!

Couldn't get it in the ground THIS year, so it went into the big tree pot and into a big hole in my garden. It's looking good, having lost all it's leaves BUT has several healthy buds on each tiny limb. Still I need to blanket it with some more compost.
