Wow! What a cool gift, Joe! How fast does Spanish Moss grow, anyway?

And I don't think I saw a tree frog, beefy.... :/
I am not sure how fast it grows, never paid to much attention to it.
The moss came from my Grapefruit tree.

There was no Tree frog involved in the making of this gift! :thumbsup

Ron I know it was late when you got that but look it over and you will see how the branches all fit into a hole made for each.
The v shaped one goes on the dowel rod.
When it is all put together it kind of looked like a worm or something.
You can see how they are wired to face up when stuck into the sides of the driftwood.

I forgot to take a picture of it all put together, but you will see it ! ;)

Beefy sees tree frogs everywhere! LOL I did hope at least one invasive species would have manage to stow away, but these pieces are so clean and the smell is unbelievable.

Joe, I did not notice anything and still this morning I have not been out there. I will see the holes! LOL This certainly caused an uproar and I was completely immersed in it! I dig this gift!

Yes, 4 Epis, but I see 2 or 3 different varieties. Two of them are that sawtooth kind so count as one kind. LOL :gig Tell me if I should know who is who but I promise those got potted immediately last night.

I will jump back in this morning and post pics.

Next are my new Tillandsia I believe I can identify 3 distinct plants here. Also, I did not recognize this as Spanish Moss, but I am wrong. There are two really good starts that are so dense I thought they were a single thick Tillandsia-- how cool is that!!!:love

Here are some close-ups

this one is a clump of Spanish moss to the left, and a nice healthy Tillandsia to the right!

All right bro!

That looks better!

I like it myself now that I see it again. I need to make one for myself now. I can guarantee that no two will ever look the same.

The epi is from just two plants so the 2 pots is perfect.

Violet (DMIL) is giving me her big plant after she gets some new babies going for herself. This thing is pretty big! it is root bound and she just rather let me have it. I should just repot it for her though!
I may just do that she has had it for a very long time.

I am glad you like it! It looks like my wire job held up good.
It was created as I went. 'Played it by ear'.

Joe

Oh, I like the way you hung it. :thumbsup

That was quite the adventure and a great birthday gift, Joe. Thanks for the fun.
I am glad you enjoyed the adventure!

Heck anyone can just send a gift, but to make an adventure out of it , well that is just way more fun!

That is so true Joe. If everyone would choose to have more fun even with the simplest things we all would be much more happier. Doing random things like you did and the fun that we had following the thread, brought some fun to to the whole thing. I ought to share how my "Sam the Yam" came about sometime. A simple sweet potato in a bottle sprouting took on a name and soon became a legend all his own. He has even been "yam napped" from my back yard and held overnight for ransom. Anyway, in time I will share the whole story about my silly sweet potato.
